What an amazing book. I am currently re-reading it for the fourth time - it is THAT good. The romance isn’t a result of sex, hearts and flowers. This is romantic because of the actions, sacrifices, caring and intense love demonstrated by the protagonists. Also, the story is psychologically thrilling, suspenseful, mentally seductive, and the physical stuff? Powerful. You can tell the author has spent time carefully crafting every sentence. I was riveted and my heart ballooned the whole time I read. This is my first novel by this author and I’m so excited to have discovered her.

If an author takes the right amount of time and effort building up the heat, chemistry and tension I will be joyous by the time a first kiss comes around. Here, my heart melted when Will earned a first brief SMILE from Olivia and when they accidentally BUMPED into each other. This sounds lame I know, but you have to understand the build-up is just so exquisite in this slow-burn love story. I was electrified when their relationship became physical.

Will and Olivia are great characters with well-described layers and they feel real. I loved Olivia’s honest, caustic, smart-mouth; and Will was admirable as he struggled with his inner turmoil over his forbidden feelings. His honour was refreshing.

I highly recommend this novel for a truly satisfying romantic reading experience. This is a stand-alone. I cannot wait to read the follow up novel and I’m so happy it’s available right now.

Olivia is a talented runner. However, she has a temper and after a nasty incident she is transferred to another school where she is running in a lower category, but still has a scholarship. Her new coach is Will, who dislikes Olivia because of her history. Will is young (24 to her almost 21) and coaches as a second job while tending to his mother's farm.

But there is much more to Olivia than meets the eye. Olivia is a troubled young woman with horrid nightmares. And during those nightmares, she sleepruns. She runs miles and miles and often wakes up somewhere unknown. Because of her nightly activities, she sometimes performs very bad at trainings and meets and Will finds out. He sees her talent and wants to help, not just for the school but also because he knows what it is to have a dream. His dreams were shattered when his father died and he was burdened with the farm and paying for his younger brothers' tuition.

This is a long book. Long in chapters, but it also has many layers and stories. It is about Olivia's history (gruesome!), their forbidden attraction, Will's burdens and desires and making choices in life.

I loved the book. After the first 30 chapters I had a feeling it was too long, but then the plot took a turn and there was indeed much more to tell. So I recommend for those who enjoy the longer stories and don't mind the slow burn. There is a dual POV of Will/Olivia. Nice epilogue in the future.
This is my first book from this author. I have gotten to where I strongly dislike trying new authors but this book didn’t let me down. I really enjoyed the story. I’d probably give it really 4.5 Stars. I thought the storyline was great. It keeps you very interested in what’s going on and how the book progresses. I got a little impatient 40 or so percent in because I wanted them to be together already but that’s just my issue. They actually do not get together till around 70+ percent into the book. But the story throughout this book is really good. The characters are great. I loved Olivia and Will was such a great guy. His mom played a big part as well and she was a good addition to the story too. The writing was good. I really have no complaints about it. I’ll definitely read something else by this author in the future.
This exceptional, contemporary novel has elements of romance, mystery, and suspense.

The main characters are complex and relatable. Olivia is both damsel in distress and a strong, fierce female. Will is both prince charming and a cynic to whom life has dealt a raw deal. They are perfectly poised to rescue each other.

The story is well thought out, and the prose is perfect for the plot. The inclusion of Olivia’s mysterious past, and the suspense that it brings, adds just the right amount of excitement to this great read. This is now one of my favorite contemporary books. It hugs the line, between college romance and adult romance, very well. 5 stars
I enjoyed this book from the very first page until the very last! I couldn't put this book down! I didn't even skip or skim through any of it, which is typical for me! This was my first real from this author and I am excited to read more. These characters were amazing! I was rooting for them immediately! This is a must read!
